Blogger has super imposed my last post on top of the post before that. What on earth is going on ? I cant reply to the comment because of this, but yes it is a rural road and not a case of a car driving around the block all night. Bored is the right word. I was thinking the same. Only a few seconds of noise as a car passes, but thats the kind of people we Brits have become. Especially in the countryside.
I could understand if it was a small road right next to a lot of housing, but not a rural road. When my father was alive, he'd drive his sports cars around our suburban roads and no one ever complained. Older British women seem very sour for some reason. Maybe she needs some of the old "boff and bonk" as they say. (I'm learning British slang.)
ReplyDeleteA Karen is the term. I was amazed to find that expression in a George Orwell book about socialism. I thought it was a recent thing, but like so many other trends it is much older. I dont know what that slang term means. Hmmm....
