jung - freud clash in "A dangerous method" Sony pictures

 

I openly admit i am no expert on these matters, but i have had plenty of experience of these sharp cracks manifesting. In fact they are quite common place both in my house and outside. I try maybe too hard to note what emotion or thought is passing through my mind at the time. I even sometimes try to force such noises to occur by thinking sudden acute thoughts. Of course this doesnt work.
   What i have noticed is that the are most common upon waking in a morning, and they seem to come from my bedside table. They are mostly metallic, though sometimes sound like a knock on wood. I have known them frequently occur in electric items, even when they are switched off. Of course when i first watched this clip i was quite excited that someone has documented these weird noises and that i wasnt just imagining them.
  Twice this weekend such noises have manifested. the first was in a building where i was annoyed to find a repair i had made was still allowing water to leak in. The second was one of those metallic cracks when i awoke. It came from my bedside table. The triggers seem to be wide, but all stem from a sudden subject jolting a honest reaction from me, a reaction that has not had the time to be corrupted or candy coated.

  On a more down to earth subject i found this film delivering very little useful info on the subject. In fact it dwelled heavily sexual issues which were  no doubt was factually correct to the story. Oh, and the DVD cover was highly misleading. Im guessing many people got a shock when they watched the film starring our " English rose " lol

Twice now when ive been conversing on line with a family member my TV which is turned off has emitted a loud bang. What would Carl Jung have made of this ?

If I Came....23

I don't know what Jung would have made of this, but I had the most vivid dream last night. I found myself running very , very fast towards the sea over a grassy estuary. I slowed down as quickly as I could and suddenly found myself on a windy, blustery sea shore in a gale with sunlight catching the dappled, stormy wave swept surface of a stormy exuberant sea. I braced myself into the wind as a huge wave built up out at sea . I realised I could not out run it so I remained still and it crashed around my feet, even though I was standing clear of the beach, I could not out run it. This dream was all to real and like others ive had Im not sure how much of this was a dream...   


The number 23 occurs daily in my blog stats. I have researched in detail the Tarot meaning of this. It is not negative.




  

Drip ,drip , drip....

Today has been a day of synchronicity beyond any sense, even by my standards. This is quite normal for me and in the past I could tell you stories you would not believe. What can I tell you about such matters ? Well I believe Jung was right when he said these coincidences are the result of our physce affecting matter. That I know is true. For some of us what we hold dear, or desire in life will be reflected back at us in either the media or through real life connections, as has happened today. At the time this is very impressive and certainly will grab your attention !
  Whats it all mean, and is it of any use, however impressive the coincidence is ? Does it mean events are about to yield to your agenda ? In my experience they seem to occur AFTER an event in real life. They are certainly not a guarantee that things are heading your way, but that will only be proved in the long term, so who knows. At the same time I have seen synchronicity lead to a real movement in life, sometimes in a geographical sense as things orbit closer to your home, sometimes too close. Its a cop out, but I guess things can go both ways. So it means NOTHING then ? Well there MUST be some meaning when matter moves into line with your mental out look. A Physcologist would call it one thing, a mystic by another more flamboyant name I shall not print here.
  Any way to wrap up what I really want to say is, today has been an extraordinary day !

16th Century China

Last night I had the strangest dream. In the dream my daughter, who is two, started to tell me facts that were quite alarming, but when I awoke I had forgotten them all. Well all but the part of a sentence which oddly said " A 16th century Chinese.... "   I panicked  at that point in the dream and unfortunately woke up, next I hear the creaks and cracking noises in my attic that are so common at various periods of time. I do however have my theory's about this bizarre piece of a sentence , and believe it is of great relevance. Time will tell  : )

Looking back...

While re-reading a book by Gareth Knight last night I came across a paragraph I underlined nearly two years ago .

"  The union of the Higher and Lower Selves frequently manifests to lower consciousness in terms of a contra-sexual image . Thus to a male personality it produces the concept of the ' ideal ' woman . Conversely , the feminine personality will project an image of the ' ideal ' man... "

Since then of course Ive had  the ideas of J.C Jung brought to my attention , which has added a sense of justification and rationality to the above idea . It is on this note that I can not express how helpful and even comforting it was to see a ' main stream ' explanation for the above picture . Of course I understand the mystical side of the equation and all it brings , but that's so subjective and in the long term cant really bring closure . Reading Jung's ideas on projection has lifted some weight off my shoulders in a mental sense and has helped me reach some kind of closure on a turbulent period in my life . Thank-you .

The Winged Bull

So what am I reading at the moment ? Well Ive finally got round to reading some Dion Fortune again , in fact her final novel The Winged Bull . I am barely a chapter in and up crops a character who randomly picks up a book by J.C Jung about the subconscious and is amazed as on the cover is an image he has just seen as a statue the day before ( a synchronicity that I guess will be revealed later in the book ) Well it gave me a shock to as Jung has been very much on my mind , and having found a reference to him in another story I read by A . Crowley that was so revealing personally , I regard this twist as a personal synchronicity with bells on !
  As I said a few weeks ago and discussed with another blogger , I thought Jung's theory's were pretty much the essence of " magic " or very near a parallel at least . As I read further into the book I feel I will be proved right....

Google / synchronicitys

I have noticed in life that certain names for example or numbers continually turn up and grab my attention . Ive called these " synchronicitys " as they have meaning to me and occur quite regular . Minor news stories locally continue to occasionally reflect certain names that like to occur along side other names or themes . There seems to be no limits in time to these coincidences as I read books that are based before the turn of the century . Are these happenings just a subconscious pattern symbolising my mental thrashings ? Or are they of some huge significance of order , say of the cosmos . Sounds silly ? Is this explained by maths ? Most things are some say . The nearest thing ive come to to explain this phenomenon is Google ! Type in a word or name and it will come up with how that name is linked to a million different subjects and in many different contexts . Life seems to mimic this apparently at random . There is order , its is alarming . It is certainly not evil . It is certainly not anything to worry about . Seeing this manifest though makes me ask why can I see it ? Have I done something that's the mystical equivalent of pushing a "google " type button allowing me to see all these patterns ? A difference of awareness seems highly likely to be responsible .
  You may suggest stress as a reason for seeing such things , you may think I'm looking for order in an time of great change , but the reason to me is not important , the patterns are there , that's my point of interest here ! We all see little coincidences but when they continue to get ever more stunning bigger ideas or explanations are needed .
