Something very strange happened this week. When we arrived at the auction mart with what I had counted as 51 sheep I was told on unloading them by a person who is paid to count and check the numbers that there were 52. I expressed my doubts so another person counted them, and still got to 52. Yet a 3rd person came and counted them as 52. Surely I was mistaken then.
After having dinner I decided to count them myself slowly and individually. I got 51. On the immediate count just before entering the sale ring the number was again 51, much to my relief and amusement.
How could three people all count wrong ? Their job is to count everyones sheep as they are unloaded. The odds of this being wrong 3 times is ridiculous.
Its just one of those situations that make you think, hmmmm ?!
