Tonight I enjoyed a ride out to a very good Chinese takeaway. I ate it in on a bench in a very peaceful church yard. Well it was peaceful until some bell ringers started practicing. Ive never heard such a din. It sounded like someone hammering on a bell. As the tower was only small the noise wasnt that far above me. Yes. I made a sharp exit. The last time I sat there someone was angle grinding in the church. Its just annoying when a stupid thing like this happens.
That's pretty aggravating. Do you have a particular favourite Chinese cuisine? Do you prefer Cantonese or Mandarin? I really love the crispy batter on the sweet and sour or orange type of chicken, and I have that but with tofu inside.
ReplyDeleteIm pretty conservative to be honest. BBQ spare ribs and the like. I was sat about a meter from a van this morning on a bench, and the driver selected 1st instead of reverse jumping forward a little towards me. That made me jump as well. Just stupid things happening. I have these spells. Add the previous weeks racket and its just...I dont have a word for it. I wonder what triggers these clusters of outrageous events ? When we are vulnerable do we attract the events that we really want to avoid ?
DeleteIt reminds me of the idea of Sartre about "hell is other people." Now that my class is over, I'm going to post what I wrote weeks ago.
