I have have been cleaning out a spare room this week and have found some amusing things. I shall post them over the weekend. Strangely there is an " early retirement " scheme for farmers at the moment although this is dated 2007.

  1. That is kind of funny I guess, although it's worrisome if this is happening in real life.

Is this early farming retirement a part of the global agenda to reduce the world's food supply?

  2. Its on the edge of decency...lol Todays scheme means a lump sum payment which for what would be payed out over the next 5 years, it doesnt add up to a lot,, whoever owns that next.It also surrenders your right to any other payments on the farm thats left behind. I dont really see the point of it. Is it a global agenda ? Id say it just UK stupidity and a short sighted attempt to sweeten the fact all payments are coming to an end as far as we know. And thats only because the money used to come from Europe. I think world events and the Russian situation will see a panic about food supply. hopefully. Politicians only respond when there is a unpopular situation thats " lit a fire under their ass " as they say.

  3. I've heard that 2/3 of fertilizer comes from Russia? I'm not sure if I remember that correctly, but sounds catastrophic if it's true. If that happens I'll have to live off of wild mushrooms, but I'm sure there will be others doing the same thing and we will all starve eventually. This sounds very serious. The third horse after the red horse (war) is black and stands for famine.
