YEP ! Every year i ramble about January winds roaring through the tall Beech tree's next door and YEP that sort of day is here again so quickly ! Watching a new adaptation of Wuthering Hieghts i recorded last night . Of course its all absolutely necessary as always .... History repeats its self in Dent im sure . This book will now turn up everywhere . As always . And its only a matter of days before door latches start rattling them selves on sunny winter mornings . This activity will be increased by a nieghbours house changing hands as always happens . In fact any structural change will do the trick . Am i mad ? No just living next to Whernside Manor . You can not live in denial . Its a road to ruin .

When we set out to aquire.....

Life is an equation . The end result requires many variations and additions in an all important balanced application . Some parts may not be pleasing but essential in the end outcome and it is the end outcome thats only important . Another lesson easily forgot ...

WOW !

Perfume brands are now using occult terminlogy in thier adverts . Out is sex and archetypes in is " earth , fire ,water and the material becomes the ether " Another clever appeal to our hidden triggers and subcontious workings . Ive read this happens in advertising but never seen it so obviously flaunted .

Simply true

As the clouds drift tinted orange over the moon i realise every problem or what at first seems an obsticle creates its own back currents of opportunity in the eddies and swirls of disruption . A tide wetting your feet enables you to swim to new shores , just dont complain about getting all wet when you get there thats all that needs to be remembered....easy done !

Every year over Christmas some friends disappear and some pop up everywhere . Heres hoping for a more regulated spread of socialising . Mmmm it cant be helped unfortunately

Dry and cold

Today is bitterly cold, with a North wind blowing . The roads are drying up a light grey colour as they do in Spring . This isnt common in December . In fact it happened rarely last summer due to the wettest summer i can remember . The sort of day that inspires work and new ideas about what needs doing . Usualy this takes place in January but i think the coming very wet weather thats forecast will quickly dispel this mood unfortunately....

Too clear

Its a pre -Christmas December day . The sort of day when everything is a little too crystal clear and precise . No shadows to hide in today only an uneasyness of now, feels a bit like a hole in the clouds . Time to lie low.....

A good sum up

A bad period in life foreruns a good period to come . This cycle can be monthly or maybe even if you can keep score this long ,yearly . The equation however long it takes is balanced . This can work for or unfortunately against you . So knowing when to expect disapointment hence " giving up " for a while can be a big help . Keeping track and knowing which camp you are currently in is the tricky part but is not impossible. I have abandoned my planned holiday at Tintagel due to cost and immenent utility bills . I would love to be down there by the wintery sea and now probably slippy cliffs ! Maybe its just as well.... Another hot weather girl has appeared on the beeb . They can pick them !!! Bless . Need a Christmas tree , need to wrap some presents . The church put its most important festival now . To destroy all knowledge of this seasons ever increasing mania and earthyness . If you feel a change near the solstice then your reading the right blog . If you just think shopping then ahhhhh i only live in hope for ya....

Moody , grimmy moon

Im sat with my luxury view of the half moon passing in and out of the storm clouds , moody as fuck and grimmy . There is no saving grace only ourselves to rely on . If you can bend lifes odds then fair play to you , there is no saviour for our souls so find your own way . We always have . Love , music and magic will save the day , maybe . Find something to move you / destroy you and you will be whole as youll ever be ....

Updated update !

It seems the flashes were seen near Kendal too but were not lightening . Well i heard no thunder either . The earth tremor rumbling sound was not a tremor as geological records have said no actvity has occured at that time . What was it then ?The blue flashes were silent and seemed very near to me at the time . Too near in a way as if they were in no way unusual or alarming . Sounds mad but when strange unexplained events happen in front of you a strange indifferent emotion often underwhelms you . Odd and only later do you think WOW !

Something to say at last !

It seems to me that everything has to swing from one extreme to another . I think this is called balance . It may take 20 years but it will occur . Maybe its natural . News stories of importance do it . A man will be seen innocent and a generation later he is crucified . Hillsbourgh is a classic example . Fans guilty , 20 years later they are sweetness and light . Each generation changes what the previous one decided . Next the Holocaust wont be as bad as we thought . OK we havent got that far yet ... but dont hold your breath ! I think its an equation which balances forces out in us and finaly satisfies us from all possible angles so we can all move on from " events " . Now im making sense ...

Women priests

Lets see more women priests or just any in fact . Women bring up our families , run our homes and keep our feet on the ground and off it sometimes ! They inspire . They will do well in religion . Its their natural position .

Today HSBC has been exposed as laundering possibly Mexican drug money and other dodgey vices . A Conservative party member from the past has been exposed as alledgely taking kids to abuse wholesale style from a childrens home during the seventies . Again two mighty institutions exposed , shamed and humble ... again one for the common man and one smack in the face for the institutions of authority . This pattern will continue .... It now seems ofone these stories appears to be a work of fiction according to the news (today anyway ) but it fits with the flow and might yet be seen as " the truth " whatever that means nowadays ! There is no reality any more in the news . I guess there never was ...

Winter mode

Yep the change has started , its November . Days are short and i am tired however much sleep i get so i ignore it till i explode ! Everything is small and tight and i dont see far !! I can clearly see my life in one glance , all in a frame . So simple . And my emotions are pure and simple . I want ...i will get . No debating in circles . Summer is so complicated but worth the input . Winter turns on the inner sight and shorts out to my desires.... starry nights , moon light nights , stormy ones. Winter is MY time so watch out !    

Sea change

Now during the Olympics I mentioned how odd the inclusion of a model Glastonbury Tor was in the opening ceremony . Copper was mentioned and was hung on it in a fashion . I wondered whether this could effect our country in some way .. errr if you understand why thats great ! Well the mood now of the country seems from the news to be very much in favour of the humble general public . Authority seems to be getting a big smack in the face . Hard . Hillsborough fans finally seem to have founded evidence of being fucked by the police lying in reports and passing the blame on to them . Jimmy Savile seems to have abused many in the past but had buried it deep . Well not any more ! The ordinary person has thwarted the superstar . The truth is out . There is a great appetite to out powerful figures who have fucked over the everyday man . Maybe this new open mood is the result . Maybe..... P.S several people have been jailed today for mistreating mentally ill handicapped people . Quite an extreme move with the express view of making an example of the abusers and vindicating those to weak to defend them selves i reckon . Something has swung in OUR favour at last . Long may this continue...

Half cesent moon

I must say of all the moons ive seen ( and thats a lot ) last weekends was the strangest. A blood red half cresent one . Quite rare in that respect but the extreme lowness of its position over what must have been the sea was alarming . So low in fact one would question wether it could be the moon . That low !!! And so red , blood red . Gothic and impressive ...

I got my 5 a day ?

Ooooooooooooooooooh part of my 5 a day ! Yep 5 water related problems today a new record . 1) water leaked on to my cds in car 2) water supply stirred up really shitty annoying nieghbours 3)builder burst a pipe 4) slurry store started leaking water 5) Got wet feet as Rachel washed floors at tea time ! OK that last one is pushing it a bit but the rest , yeah it doesnt stop . Water causes 95 % of my problems.... It bubbles up finding its own way as do realationships in life paying no respect to what we expect . It does as it will and doesnt give a damn !

Suffer the children

Suffer the children alright . Multiple deaths by drowning and dodgey house fires im afraid seem to be the way . Shocking but becoming less uncommon ! Not good . The innocents are paying the price alright , but what for ???

Landscapes

I read something very interesting in the said book . Nature does not make morbid landscapes . This only happens when man abandons a landscape he has been managing or looking after . For example an old garden that gets overgrown . Quite true . A wild area of undergrowth does not feel as spooky as an overgrown garden... Just an interesting by product of the book or pearl of wisdom.

Currently reading Dion Fortunes Demon Lover . Very good and simply written as a thriller . And thats as far as i view it cos this aint my thang . Same as The Goat Foot God then . Both books i found hard to put down and looked forward to reading most nights . They are more than just stories to some as i find other books she wrote are to me , but a good story is a good story . How far you relate to it will be up to you .

Yes the full moon was interesting . Events exploded in a good way and crises were forced but i was well ready and rode the storm thourghly enjoying myself . A wedding reception actualy . How i laughed inside , what did i expect ? Oh ye of little faith......

Methodist Ministers.....

Heres a change of flavour for Golden.... Today my parents were helping furnish " The Sedbergh Manse for a new Methodist Minister moving in . I asked if the congregations had finally made the often long drawn out decision of choosing a new Minister from usually several applicants . Imagine my suprise when they told me they were struggling to find a single person to fill the role but had found a man willing to do one year only !!! When i asked why they said no one wanted to move North to the post and Ministers wives wanted to know about local job opportunities , local services and schools and how far apart the parish chappels were . In other words the new breed today are career religious Ministers . No passion and full of earthly stipulations . Fat , lazy , greedy , selfish and no spiritual guidance only worldly out looks . Wasnt like this 20 years ago . No wonder Churches are in so much trouble today if this is the attitude of the Ministers . What a disgrace , but not entirely a suprise.... And no wonder some join the Church , but where is the humility?????

Facebook was killing me slowly . How could this be ? I miss the idealistic idea of it and how it was when i needed it . Those early heady days of fun and closeness and itimacy were mind blowing and filled a purpose but know we have all moved on ....

One to watch out for.....

I must admit i have had some odd moments by the sea around a full moon . I have seen some very strange people behaving erratically , nay even mysteriously ! ( always women ) and Scotland was the scene this year . Even a very level headed friend spotted how odd  the scene  was watching was  i was watching .  I smiled a knowing smile...  Each time this happens  i have sensed something is wrong or just not right about  some sights ive seen   . How can i explain how it feels ? Well Ive summed it up . When i was in Cornwall at Port Issac the BBC was filming DOC MARTIN on a raised veranda outside a pub . It was a crowd scene . As i watched from a distance it just didn't look real . Too perfect and the crowd didn't move naturally as it was all actors trying to act " natural " This aroused my suspicions and instincts and tested my perception . You can tell when a happening doesn't ring true or just ain't from or caused by natural events because its subtlety wrong or even ridiculously personal , maybe embarrassingly so . So keep an eye out for  " actor's " playing their part . A thrilling experience and quite rare ... Thank goodness as all sanity may be lost   Am i joking ?  Those who know will know as they say.......

The bitter sea...

Its been a while since i updated this page as there is so much i cant put on here . Well the news is full of water tragedy's involving parents and young children and the sea .
1) A English child killed by freak wave on a beach in Spain last week
2) Three children and their father drowned as their boat over turned on a sea  loch at Gairloch
3)At Bude in Cornwall a mother and child died in a strong tidal current
 
All terrible tragedy's in volving the sea all within a week of each other . Very sad but also very odd....

August again

Every August i can remember there has been a personal crises happening to me or those near me . Wether its the summer drawing to a close i dont know but an event always crushes me for a while and this year is no different . Nothing serious just a personal soul searching phase . Maybe im using an conventional  tool  to do a maverick job . Unlike me isnt it ? Maybe i need a more wilder chaotic measuring device which might leave me happier . Like for like will work.... Ive forgotten some situations are fragile when put under scrutiny and are best left un annilized to roam as they want as i have a weakness to take all personaly and throw the baby out with the dish water

Do nothing day

What a day . Hot , wet , drizzely . A give up day . No moon at all , dreary slack tide do nothing day . Dont make any effort to achieve anything today as it will be wasted . We get everything we want but the time scale is far longer than we plan thats all . As long as we make a start thats the key and always the hardest part . Am i sounding too opportunistic ?!

When in Rome

Well how fast the tide turns . Nights are now moon light mostly and most welcome it is . Va va vooom !
  A friend of the family has returned from a holiday in Cornwall also with a bizarre tale to tell about a full moon week .... At least I'm not the only one !!!  A full moon week down there is not to be taken lightly as once certain experiences have been had without your permission you can feel forced to see things in a new light . At first its disturbing , eventually a new path if ya want that kinda thing.....  And a year later you will look back with great affection at your " first "  " experience ! "   Its a funny road but it would have been anyway.... wouldnt it ?

Surely the biggest luxury is to be able to switch off . I guess thats what drugs and alcohol is made for , niether of which i partake in for many reasons , some historic , some moral , some based on out right fear !!!!
  The nights are pulling in again arent they ? And there are gonna be looong dull evenings doing not much but there are looong light evenings not doing much now so i guess its all perception ; the day light ours equaling more  " pleasure " . Work seems to make me the happiest at the moment and weekends drag ......   Facebook isnt the fun it once was . Comments dry up as people drift along to new times . Well it was fun once !!!

So my GOLDEN BLOG has been rambling on a fair while now and you maybe wondering just what its all about . Some think its a joke or a wind up and its all tongue in cheek . 90% of the time its straight talking about the things in life which arent and cant be looked at straight or true  . Its my journey sometimes highly edited cos it would blow my reputation for being sane but for those on a simular wave lenght they will give me a knowing nod cos ive seen and learnt things to test my previous view of " life " . One day i might write a book about my basic esoteric adventure but it would have to be published after my prime has passed ... enjoy what i dare disclose . Well what the hell was the odds of Glastonbury Tor being in the Olympic ceremony ? Bizzare really and copper was placed near by too . I dont understand why and i dont need too to realize that a lot of symbolism was going on there last night . Now combined with the massive public emotion of the rest of the show moving us in sublime or subconscious ways i would expect a massive ritual effect has taken place , as im no expert here but even i suspect it highly likely . Was it done on "purpose " ? Dont know or care but the effects i hope are a jolt too us ALL i bet . At the very least a reason to SMILE  at last !!!!  YAY !!!!   Well it works in church on a Sunday sceptics !! Ha ha ha

Its 2.22 am and i cant sleep . The first new moon in months has come into view over Rise Hill , Like seeing an old friend again . SO much has change since last time . Everyones life has changed but how much have i left today
? Time will tell but please some parts are not negotiable . Cant trust my own views at the moment . Funny to think it might all be in my head and all  maybe fine . Time to get those guns blazing and grow a pair i think !!!! Or can i be bothered ????

Water . I dont care if its in the bath , in my drinks or in my Meriva cylinder head it only has one aim and that is to reach the sea by running down hill . Period .It will get there eventually totaly ruining someones day in the process or making it maybe somehow in ways we do not have the time to ponder !!!

What David did next....

Yeah on exiting the cave the church bells started chiming as a tornado tore across the bay sucking up sea water into the clouds . I sat for 15 minutes watching on a banking but had no camera unforunately.... A memorable moment that will stop with me forever . A charged atomosphere was caused by the tornado as there always is if you are lucky enough to be close to one . An eerie feeling.

Whoooooah !

Got swept away as the tide changed and swept to a good place but will have to get my bearings now to acclimatise  .   "  THE CHANGE OVER BETWEEN TWO REALITIES IS ALWAYS UNCOMFORTABLE  "  Dion Fortune .  Such a huge moon followed and i didnt know it was coming ! Like putting your foot down in a fiesta and discovering a cosworth engine transplant . The back end will step out violently as you panic but you will make a rapid pace but with no control with tyres smoking . Not pleasant but essential ....and where am i going on hols too ...the equivilant of F-1 ha ha ha ....

Yes the first moon worth mentioning is growing steadily . Already events have shot off at a break neck speed and intensity catching me un aware . If you hang around the launch pad fucking around with the buttons eventualy your ganna launch something !!!!  Just like the weather things are savage early already and vibrant . Maybe old evils are put to bed ? Eventualy what will be must be and my view will count for little as a bigger picture helps someone else somewhere. Its all in the game ....

Earlier this week there was a solar eclipse and the moon was at its furthest from the earth possible . Now its turned and is on its way " back " . Can i wait ? Work on the hoof i think as im all but on empty obviously , still things are quickening already and so fresh it feels....

Hah ha !  I'm booking a holiday in Tintagel again this year as a last minute change of plan has ambushed me ! Oh dear i can hear the groans of he's gonna loose the plot this time down there ( or fall of a cliff ) and you might be right . Again as last year  life is as unpredictable as ever. Things have worked out well but storm clouds may be gathering . ( aren't they always ? )
  The last time i visited Cornwall  i fled home under a huge full moon . A very trying time indeed , but a true friend was there for me just as i needed them . In fact today's life was shaped by that strange week . And everything important to began to grow from that experience .
 Again a sad unexpected death has occurred localy of a person i saw on a  regular basis .Last spring the same occurred ! I have a very strong feeling of de-javu . A cold Spring wind is blowing from the North in more ways than one !!! Early Summer can not be held back much longer and neither can i !!!!
  Walking and exploring will be high on my agenda . Sometimes on my own i expect . Its amazing the things you experience down there on your own . A new world opens up before you , even if you only realise it when you have got home ! What an irony that is ....  The coast is not a safe place though and i have seen people slip (me included )  and it suprises me more people arent killed falling into the sea . A very real danger we just dismiss ! As you get older you over estimate your ability . Just when was it that your co-ordination didnt match what it used to be ? No im not as agile as i was and had a false sense of my own safety . This is how accidents happen . At least i'm aware of it now , but exactly when the change took place i'm scared to reckon .

Holidays

The idea of going to Cornwall this summer is growing increasingly tempting . Things i saw there are now being made clear . At the time Rachel's pregnancy rocked me as did a funeral that awaited me when i got home . Until then Tintagel made me so happy .The coastal walks and the castle and sea caves..... A place of true magic only unlocked by you . Sometimes it may take months to sink in but the Boscastle area is a hive of experiences. A land of fairy tale physcological , primitive , esoteric experiences !!!
  To go back now things are more settled and goals have been achieved would be good but without the tension would it deliever ? Mmmmmm  who cares i win either way....

Spring Equinox/ Vernal

Oh dear its that time of year i dread . The Vernal ( or is that infernal ) equinox .  Rain stops play , leaves on the line etc . However you look at it the fun stops and a bloody hard manual slog begins or maybe i should just say **** it until June if i had any sense, but attrition is my style and i don't give in easy all though i do know when to take a back seat . Knowing the difference separates the men from the boys. Not brute force stubbornness or grunt ! If you achieve a goal but you are too exhausted to enjoy the fruits what was the point of it all my friend ? My orb photo i took last August . Some laugh . Some explain away . Personaly my mind is open and if pushed i believe . That is a big orb . Tonight the moon is almost full and snow lies two inches deep and its so calm in the dale . Someone asked me recently " Has the moon brought you all you wanted ?" What i got up to last night / Blackpool car rally and KFC

I fear the road maybe impassible over the moors tonight or if to be attempted may lead me to  grievous harm or possible destruction of my persons . Upon careful consideration i may find the company of the fire hearth a more agreeable proposition . My composure feels a trifle wearisome after i returned to my homestead in the early hours having spent some considerable time viewing some most rapid chariots coursing along the Blackpool promenade at a most furious pace . At such a late hour i did so meet my Uncle and his Son to partake in the most refreshing chicken segments so deep fried they excited my senses so . Conversation soon turned upon the most delightful young maids who did serve us with the up most composure never once stumbling upon the course comments we so deservedly showered upon them as their tender years rendered them impervious to our suggestions . After our sincrere suggestions bore no fruit it was time to head north up the coast for home consuming much fuel in the process...

Now a resident  has set off to his sisters in Dent and  has disappeared on the way .  The  police are still searching for him ... He has committed suicide apparently it now appears . Its a Wuthering Hieghts type night up here . The mist is low. Its drizzeling and coming in dark . Today has been brighter though and it was fresh and cool although the day has ended warm and damp . British weather can vary from morning to night . The set weather patterns of large countries must be so different and predictable . I wonder how they affect the mind set of thier population ? We have all had our attention drawn to the Stephen Lawrence " re-trial "  Two men were tried for the murder 15 years ago at least , at great expense and at great public pressure too . They were found innocent of the murder back then . So much so a new law was brought in so the courts could  try people found innocent a second time in the future . No new evidence has come forward this time round . No new witnesses found either.
 The people who welded the knife and murdered  are still free after these to men go to jail purely for being at the scene . But what else did you expect ? This is double jeopardy at its worst . The lawyers and police must love it . Everyone is happy though and thats the thing . Thats enough nowadays .
