Half cesent moon

I must say of all the moons ive seen ( and thats a lot ) last weekends was the strangest. A blood red half cresent one . Quite rare in that respect but the extreme lowness of its position over what must have been the sea was alarming . So low in fact one would question wether it could be the moon . That low !!!
