That devil Heathcliffe...

I had a very uncomfortable experience with the man this week, the one I had to lock out of our fields after he moved our sheep without asking. He is obsessive, arrogant and aggressive.

So he arrives as my Dad and I are sorting out sheep that are other peoples that are among our flock after gathering them in from the fell. This guy decides to help us sort through them to speed things up. Already im nervous because i know how volatile he is. He suddenly gets very agitated when he finds a sheep that belongs to another farmer that we have accidentally marked with our flock sign which is a blue H letter. It is NOT even his sheep. He then finds another sheep of someone elses. It has a similar dyed mark in its wool as ours but he  mistakenly thinks we have accidentally marked that one as well, because he wants to believe it.

By now he is really irate , and these two sheep have nothing to do with him. He starts pacing up and down asking if there are any more sheep that are mistakenly marked, even though he has made a mistake himself. It was not nice at all being spoke to by someone who obviously has no respect for you. No other farmer would do that. He is also deaf so he slurs his words and has a whiny voice thats full of angst. He cannot differentiate between his own business and other peoples. He has no sense of drawing a line under his emotions or behavior. I dont think he can.

He blows everything out of proportion and tries to undermine your confidence. Maybe working  for a company will see this type of thing happening to you ? Well im not used to being treated like that. He is a nasty gas lighter. Since I locked him out he will be looking for every little thing to complain about. That night I felt mentally beaten and almost abused. Ive never felt like that before. It was very personal and on my turf as they say.

That whole making mistakes thing has legs now and he is also playing his part in it. I wish I didnt notice these patterns, but I do. That makes me so mad, the part he played and the bad timing of his arrival.

Now next day I was at a family gathering as my inlaws were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. There were a lot of balloons in the house, and yes they three randomly went bang, not pop, but bang. Visitors commented on how loud they were whilst laughing. I was not laughing as I do not like loud sudden noises. Anyway the third balloon that burst was immediately after a woman had said the words PTSD. The balloon was only half inflated as well. Thats kind of a sick joke to me. What are the odds ?

  1. That man you spoke of sounds very neurotic and narcissistic, and he has no boundaries.

Loud balloon sounds would give me horrible panic attacks. How can anyone think it's supposed to be fun or funny? That is horrifying.

  2. He's a loose cannon.

It never ceases to amaze me that there are an never ending supply of stupid random loud noise incidents all around me, and where ever I go. I do cope better with them nowadays though and I can stop the expletives now. Thats important at my inlaws...lol
