They fall like dominos
All my family have had the vaccine without hesitation and what has really prompted me to post tonight is the fact that my wife is getting her jab on Sunday. Of course I am angry about this and I'd be lying if I denied a growing feeling of isolation. The thing is I cant believe that people in general just accept this past 12 months and automatically see an injection as a silver bullet for all our conceived social woes. Its frightening how 12 months of fear has annihilated any questioning or the ability to make a stand against this threat most havent seen. Just the other night I spoke to a relation who knew a funeral undertaker and he said he had a quieter than normal last 12 months ! So I think we can see that locally the death rate has been lower than normal ?! Even official stats show 99.5 % of people get a non lethal out come so why should I want a rushed vaccine ?
I have relations who didnt want to have the vaccine but partners or work commitments pressured them into it. Its funny how even those people seemed to find a reason to have it. They chose to have it in the end. Its just depressing really.
Things got worse for me online this week as a fb friend told me that there were tags on my anti global warming and Covid posts leading viewers to " official alternative " sites. Is this how fb tackle so called " fake news ? " Since when the hell does fb do that behind a users back ? Are they now setting the new reality ? Too late, the answer is a big fat YES.
The net is closing in and I think being able to sit on the fence about these issues will soon be at an end. I dont care who tracks my online spoutings as I have no professional reputation to protect and that is another reason people dont speak out. Fear of what work may say. Who cares what a farmer in the middle of nowhere says anyway ? lol

The Creepy Couple
Today we visited the inlaws and I went for a short walk with my daughter. We soon passed a bungalow on the street and stopped to watch a fancy lawn sprinkler (im from the sticks ) After only a few seconds a woman appears in the garden and leans on her gate some distance away with her chin resting in one hand leaning forward in a strange sarcastic pose giving us a thousand stare. I stared for a while at her before walking on.
On the return from the walk we passed the property again and low and behold she was stood looking out of a large window overlooking the garden, but this time she was stood with her tall husband by her side. They were motionless and the scene was straight out of a horror film. I stopped a while just to take it in and the the tall man who was stood next to his wife took two slow steps to the side and disappeared behind a long curtain at the side of the window. The woman continued to stare at me with an odd look on her face. Again this seemed straight out of a horror film.
It was one of those incidents that may sound mundane to read but held more gravity to me. You know that feeling when something is not right. It hangs with me still tonight. I checked with my daughter that she was seeing the same thing as me as sometimes I think my mind must be over active...

Wow !
Romans in our cow pasture ?! Its hard to imagine, but a relic given to me this week more than suggests so. Given there is a Roman road a few hundred meters away then I guess its not so far fetched. Still it seems very surreal.
Unfortunately there is a sad story behind this item. For several years a trio of metal dectecorists have visisted our farm each spring. One of the trio appeared in our yard a couple of days ago and told me how his friend whom he used to accompany here every spring had sadly commited suicide, hence he was giving away or selling his late friends metal detecting finds. The man had left behind a wife and five children.
Its strange to think of a series of events that lead to an item landing in your hands...Said item is thought to be part of a broach. Other itens found include payment tokens from 13th century that were used instead of money until a worker had finished his job. On leaving he could exchange it for money. This was designed to stop people spending all their earnings on drink halfway through a job !
