Very much enjoying reading Moonchild by Mr Crowley . In fact I think it maybe the best most entertaining novel Ive read . A gripping story of a magical battle at times disturbingly dark in its details but also containing great humour in its descriptions of the stories several colourful villains and hero's . Some characters are pedantic others enjoy their wicked reputations even if secretly they are not deserved ... Well after all its all perceptions isn't it ?
Mystical observations and occult view points are woven into the story . Philosophical view points are compared to the point that perhaps there is nothing to differentiate between them at the end of the day . Intelligent and grown up is the books tone , but without being pretentious either, or over complicated . Fun is still present but there again so are magical observations and metaphysical views on life and the cosmos . A very , very nice mix indeed . Again so rare . Falling in love with a treasured writer or author is not to strong a phrase . Why have I not read this book sooner ? Answer FEAR !!! Quite laughable now in know , in fact also quite sad too....
